Premature ejaculation is a problem that many men suffer from, and it can be very upsetting for those who do. Different causes of premature ejaculation include some that are psychological, like stress, while others are more physical, such as high blood pressure.
The good news is that when you know how to cure premature ejaculation, you don’t need to get surgery as long as there are no physical medical causes for it. There are plenty of natural ways to manage this problem, and you’ll be back on track in no time. In this article, we are going to explain some of the ways to delay premature ejaculation naturally. Keep reading if you’d like to find out more.
Premature ejaculation is a problem that can affect you both physically and psychologically. Usually, this is caused by a quick release of sperm, and ejaculation happens before both partners would like. Studies have shown that most men who experience this issue report ejaculating within one minute after penetration.
Premature ejaculation can be very distressing, and you may feel embarrassed and concerned that you cannot satisfy your partner. The issue can be hard to ignore, and often people seek professional help to find out how to cure premature ejaculation.
Some causes of premature ejaculation are physical and require some consideration of your general health. Specific issues such as prostate disease, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, or thyroid diseases require medical attention and are not suitable to be treated without a doctor’s intervention.
Other potential causes, such as over-sensitivity of the penis, use of recreational drugs and drinking alcohol or caffeine, are known to be causes of the quick release of sperm. Over-exhaustion is another reason you can address readily with time, consideration and, ultimately, lifestyle changes.
Alongside the physical causes of premature ejaculation, plenty of psychological reasons can also contribute to this problem. These include general anxiety disorder, panic attacks, performance anxiety, and manic depression.
Other psychological reasons include erectile dysfunction, issues with strict upbringing and opinions about sex, where you have conditioned your body to achieve climax quicker, as you worry about losing your erection during sex or getting caught masturbating. These issues are purely subjective, and although they can be severe and need premature ejaculation treatment, some things can be done when you know how to delay ejaculation naturally.
When we are looking to improve premature ejaculation naturally, we must ensure there are no specific medical causes first. This way, we can start on managing the issues and find a resolution for you sooner rather than later. One of the most effective and natural home remedies for premature ejaculation is to consider cutting down on specific food and drinks.
Caffeine will speed up your heart rate, which can lead to hypertension (high blood pressure), one known cause of premature ejaculation. Cutting out, or reducing food and beverages containing a lot of caffeine, may reduce your blood pressure. This is a change I recommend when advising clients about how to delay ejaculation naturally.
I also recommend that if you smoke or use products containing nicotine, you cut these out completely, as they are linked to high blood pressure and many other physical health problems associated with the causes of quick release of sperm.
Another method to improve premature ejaculation naturally is to try and address anxiety. To treat anxiety, I would encourage you to speak with your GP or a counsellor. Although this may seem daunting, it is recognised as a method that can help to cure premature ejaculation.
You should also try to avoid over-exhaustion. Improving your sleep quality can significantly affect your general health and exhaustion is one of the causes of the quick release of sperm. It is also a good idea to try out some breathing techniques (see below) when close to climaxing to prevent premature ejaculation from occurring.
As well as trying to treat these issues, there are specific physical exercises that you can do to try and make your erection last for longer.
1. Stop and Go Technique — This exercise requires you to stop and breathe for 30 to 60 seconds when you reach mid-level excitement, near orgasm. By training yourself to stop and then start again, you will begin to gain more control over orgasm.
2. Squeezing Technique — This technique requires you to place pressure at critical points on the penis to delay orgasm. You can then use the squeezing method to give a higher degree of control over premature ejaculation.
3. Breathing Technique — By combating anxious breathing, you can slow the pace. Focusing on the lower stomach and taking measured breaths allow for a more relaxing experience. When you are about to climax, try to breathe in as deeply and as long as possible. This is sometimes sufficient to cut off the switch to ejaculate and therefore increase the time you can maintain an erection.
4. Kegel Exercises — These pelvic exercises are easy to do and can significantly affect the problem overall. Kegel exercises help improve premature ejaculation by helping to strengthen the pelvic muscles, leading to more control over ejaculation.
When dealing with premature ejaculation, it is essential to remember that there are many different causes of the quick release of sperm. Anyone suffering from this issue should seek medical help to establish if broader underlying health issues need to be addressed.
These include things like poor diet, alcohol misuse, not getting enough rest, and stress or anxiety. Solving the problem is not always easy, but as long as you are willing to make changes, you will likely notice an improvement.
