Human Growth Hormone (HGH) Therapy

Testosterone Replacement Therapy Treatment, Human Growth Hormone

What is the human growth hormone?

The human growth hormone is a small protein that is made naturally within your body. It is created by the pituitary gland, and then secreted into your bloodstream. HGH is something we release a lot of during our childhood and teenage years (naturally, when we’re growing the most) but as we reach adulthood, the production slows down.

As its name suggests, human growth hormone is an important mediator of the human growth process. It helps with tissue repair and optimal studies have confirmed that Growth Hormone (GH) serves important roles in adult life, including improving lean muscle mass, bone density, physical strength, aerobic capacity and at the same time promoting fat loss by reducing visceral fat accumulation.

As we get older, our natural levels of HGH goes down. Whilst this decrease is normal, some people suffer from a further deficiency – meaning that they suffer even more reduction than normal. For these people, they experience a variety of negative effects from the lack of HGH. For these people, the HGH therapy injections are a fantastic, low risk option – and here at harley St MD we are the professional and experienced team to deliver it to you.

How can a lack of human growth hormone affect you?

Sadly, after the third decade of adult life, Growth Hormone (scientifically known as Somatotrophin) secretion declines progressively by approximately 15% for every decade. Many age-related changes resonate with those of the Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD). Adults with AGHD exhibit regression in body mass composition, physical ability, skin quality, immune system, memory processing, cognitive function, and more importantly quality of life. Lack of HGH can also be a factor in anxiety and depression, weight gain, risk of heart disease and risk of strokes too.

If you feel like you might be someone with AGHD, or if you have been diagnosed, we recommend booking a consultation with us to discuss the options for HGH therapy. The results will help you start feeling yourself again, and help balance out some of the negative symptoms you’ve been feeling.

How does HGH replacement therapy work?

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) replacement therapy is a treatment of choice to harvest the benefits of growth hormone. By using recombinant Human Growth Hormone (rHGH), AGHD can be treated under professional medical supervision, by injecting additional HGH into the body. The treatment is relatively quick and many patients start feeling the positive results within weeks.

Harley Street MD is experienced in treating adults who are suffering from symptoms of Growth Hormone deficiency, and helping them combat their symptoms. We specialise in hormone replacement, we treat symptoms of the imbalance of hormonal symptoms such as a loss of muscle mass, increased abdominal fat, poor sexual performance, lack of energy, mood swings and disturbed sleep.

HGH therapy can be done at home (self administered) or injected by a doctor. For the best results, especially for those with an existing deficiency, the treatments may be administered for months, or years.

We will ensure that during this time, and during the entire treatment time, that you are regularly checked and your condition is monitored by a doctor. This will include regular blood tests to monitor hormone levels in the blood, and also cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels, and bone density.

It’s important when choosing a doctor to give you HGH therapy that you choose someone who is experienced and practised in this treatment process. Here at Harley St MD, we have the experience and knowledge to deliver the right results for you.
