It’s a brand new year, and you are probably being bombarded with advertisements on detoxing and the next beauty fad that you must try. And you may be tempted to buy it all to improve yourself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be the best version of yourself, but more often than not, we don’t need what the ads are selling. But what if you do want to change or tweak something about your physical appearance?
Many people seek cosmetic treatments to feel, in some way, better about themselves. Whether it’s fixing an insecurity you’ve always had, or just improving how part of your body looks or feels — most people sign up for cosmetic treatments hoping that it’ll make them feel better and boost their confidence. And it’s amazing the transformation you can experience from many of our non-surgical procedures.
Many beauty treatments fall under the “non-surgical” category. Generally, non-surgical cosmetic treatments are aesthetic procedures that improve or change your appearance, such as wrinkles, skin elasticity, spots, excess fat, moles, cellulite, unwanted hair or skin discolouration, etc.
The treatments themselves could be:
Aesthetic treatments aren’t usually invasive, require minimal downtime, and usually cost under £1500, unlike their surgical counterparts. If you opt for a surgical procedure, it will be more costly and require more prep time and recovery time, not to mention you may need to go under anaesthetic, which has its own set of risks.
We aren’t here to judge our clients for any procedure they want to have done. We believe everyone has the right to choose what is best for them. We have seen magnificent changes in our client’s self-esteem and wellbeing from the power of aesthetic medicine that we provide. Here are a few ways our clients have expressed how cosmetic treatments have helped them.
Our clients who have cosmetic treatment find it gives their confidence an instant boost. Tweaking and improving on an area of your body that you’re insecure about or uncomfortable with feels great, as you feel like you can step out into the world with your head held high. This feeling can be liberating, and give you a boost of confidence going forwards. This confidence usually lasts for the long term as you’ll find yourself relaxing more around people and worrying less about how you look. Even if your friends or family say they don’t even notice that thing that bothers you, it’s perfectly natural to focus on the flaws no one else sees and want to modify them.
If you feel insecure about parts of your body, and you’re planning to have an aesthetic treatment to improve how it looks, then you’ll feel much better after the treatment because those insecurities will start fading away. No matter how much we try to love ourselves as we are, sometimes it’s easier to change it than ignore or accept it. Some cosmetic treatments might take multiple sessions to take effect, but once you complete your course and see the results, you should feel extra confident and less insecure. For example, we have clients with sun-damaged skin or premature wrinkles, and we can help those types of skin issues with non-surgical facial treatments.
If you’re preparing for a big event, such as a wedding, holiday or a party, you might consider a cosmetic treatment to help get you ready for the big day. If you make sure you leave plenty of time before the event to get the treatment and see the results, you should feel better for the event and notice positive changes in your mindset and confidence. Many clients want to look their best for their wedding photographs and come in for a bit of Botox or lip plumping.
While cosmetic treatments are fantastic for boosting your confidence, aesthetic treatments won’t help with deeper set issues, such as depression or anxiety. It’s important to address these problems first, as getting a cosmetic treatment likely won’t cure issues that are rooted in mental health.
